What to do if a BTC transaction is unconfirmed for 40h and fees were high? [duplicate]

This question already has an answer here:

I've been reading about possible reasons for this and most say that transactions don't get confirmed due to low transaction fees. My transfer was sent out with high fees and still, it's unconfirmed for 40h. I've read that in time it might get forgotten and I will get my btc back but it would be great to have asap and trade...

Any ideas?
