Is Hashgraph a serious competitor for the blockchain? What is going to be the effect of the recently publicized Hashgraph technology developed by Leemon Baird going to be on the Bitcoin and other blockchains? It is obviously not open source since a company called Swirld Inc holds a patent on it, but it does look like it could make the blockchain obsolete.
