Get bitcoin-cash and bitcoin-gold from my bitcoin

Get bitcoin-cash and bitcoin-gold from my bitcoin

I am still a beginner with bitcoins, even though I managed to mine just 0.1 of a coin some years ago (I know, kicking myself for not continuing) I still have the old bitcoin core wallet. I heard that I can get bitcoin cash and bitcoin gold from the bitcoins in my wallet.

What do I need to do to get those other cryptocurrencies before I sell my 0.1 coin? I read that bitcoin.org does not recognise these currencies. Do I need to open a bitcoin exchange account and send my coins there? If so which one would be able to give me both bitcoin gold and bitcoin cash? Or is there an offline wallet like I have now, that I can download which would do the same thing?
