Generate bitcoin address from public-key bitcoin-cli

Is there's any built in function on bitcoin-core to generate bitcoin address from public-key or bitcoin address.

One more thing, if we've generated bitcoin address using that function (if exist) or manually. would bitcoin-core notify me(walletnotify) if there's any new transaction to this address.
