Bitcoin Price Hits Historic $10,000; is this right time to invest or I should wait?

I am new to Bitcoin and I want suggestion to invest in it. Bitcoin price has already crossed $10,000. Is this right time (December 2017) to invest or I should wait for January? One of my friend who is already investing, suggested me to wait for new year. He also said Bitcoin value likely to decrease 20% in Jan.
