Old Armory versions

As of November 13, 2017, the current armory version is compatible with segwit. If I have armory version 95.1, released before segwit, is there a benefit to upgrading?

Am I able to take advantage of lower fees by sending transactions using the segwit address format for my primary use case: relatively infrequent sending of bitcoin to/from exchanges and sportsbetting sites?

In general, I'd prefer not to upgrade because a lot of code was changed since this version and I'd prefer to use code that has stood without issue for years... is that a legitimate concern?
