Do Electrum (light weight bitcoin) have any function to purely compute hashes?

Are there any Electrum experts out there who can share with me if Electrum has any function/s just purely to compute hashes for transaction? if so, where exactly can i find them at in the source code(http://ift.tt/1aICkTS)?

Also, is it true that they only uses double SHA256 to hash each transaction? How do the hashing in electrum works?
