Why would it take over 24 hours to send BTC from Xapo to another wallet

Why would it take over 24 hours to send BTC from Xapo to another wallet

I purchased BTC on Xapo and have sent the BTC to my wallet it has been over 24 hours and the status is still pending/validating.

I have done this before and it reflected almost instantly on the blockchain but now it has yet to reflect as unconfirmed even.

Please advise.
