Transaction will not confirm, cant abandon or increase fee [duplicate]

This question already has an answer here:

Recently I made my first outgoing transaction on bitcoin core but only placed the minimum fee (transaction ID: 3f749994629bd22808733e98cde83fa9c85d7124b7e616df5c78420f9b573341). I realized after I need to increase the transaction fee but when I right click on the transaction it's not allowed me to "Abandon Transaction" or "Increase Transaction Fee" but every other option is clickable. I thought after 72 hours it automatically gets cancelled so I waited and this time to go by and it's still unconfirmed.

Current status : 0/unconfirmed, in memory pool

I don't know what to do next all I want to do is cancel and up the fee so I can transfer my BTC and it's been over 3 days now.

EDIT: I have read the other question but I am on MAC and do not have the terminal port nor do I understand how to use the terminal and commands. I simply want to know how to right click and ABANDON TRANSACTION or INCREASE TRANSACTION FEE, its an option when I right click it's just not clickable.

Also some people say wait a few hours/days others say it will just never get done. Currently as of December 24, 2017 running v0.15.1 if you select custom and send BTC using only the required fee what is the timeframe? I'd prefer to cancel the transaction and just pay the fee so I can have access to my BTC now as I've been waiting for days without access but need to know what to do please help and don't just mark duplicate. I appreciate any help as I'd just like to get my money back from this bitcoin.
