Lost bitcoin after wallet recovery?

I lost my bitcoin balance after I forgot my wallet password in blockchain. Although I managed to get my wallet (same wallet with the same security phrase) recovered, I realized my bitcoin balance doesn't show the money I had in my wallet before, anymore. I don't understand, if I have managed to recover the same wallet again why should this happen ? Where did my bitcoin go ? Can I access them again?
