How will units of Chia be created?

How will units of Chia be created?

I'm looking at the documents for Chia. I can find information about transaction validation via proof of time and space, but I can't find any information about how the tokens themselves will be created.

The offical site currently states:

We plan to sell Chia to the public next year to allow everyone to invest in a better digital money.

This seems to imply some sort of inital ownership, but I can't be sure. How will units of this cryptocurrency be created and distributed?
