Restoring backup from old mobile wallet

I have a mobile wallet installed about 2 years ago. The wallet I believe is the bitcoin core wallet.. but like i said, from 2 years ago.

There is a backup function that creates a file. It does not appear to be a wallet.dat file as replacing it into a desktop wallet doesn't seem to work. When i back it up on the phone is requires me to make a password. Not a passphrase. The backup file is 48kb in size.

How can I restore this? Nothing seems to work.
